All children referred to Play Nation Therapy will receive a comprehensive assessment to discuss concerns and prioritise goals for the immediate and long term future.
The assessment utilises a combination of standardised assessments, clinical observations and detailed parent information, to ascertain strengths and areas of challenge.
Goals for the future are created in conjunction with the family and/or carers, and a therapy plan will be discussed.
Details regarding frequency of therapy and other support services will be discussed following the assessment process.
Therapy programs can be provided in the 1:1 clinic setting, preschools or daycare settings, at school or in the home.
Clinic based therapy provides comprehensive treatment focussing on your child’s specific goals, using play based and family centred approaches, that are fun and motivating.
With the goal of building confidence primarily, and functional life skills for your child to build independence and confidence in their own abilities.
Collaborating with other professionals involved with your child, including preschool and day care carers, teachers, other allied health professionals, medical specialists, and extended family, will ensure that goals are achieved as quickly as possible.
Parent coaching, education, and up-skilling is an integral part of all treatment programs for children at Play Nation Therapy.
